Dave made his Barnes Family patented homemade pizza for us this evening.  It was delicious.  I have captured the process to share with you, but I've left out some key steps so you can't reproduce it.  Kind of like MacGuyver.

Delicious!  If you notice from the pictures, Dave has a pizza stone, which makes the crust come out extra perfect.

Call me crazy, but isn't that picture in the theatre ILLEGAL?! That pizza looks pretty good...but is that sauce from a jar?

Jenkies, isn't it illegal to have your cell phone on in an airplane?
Monday, May 24, 2004 7:51:34 AM (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)
Yeah, the sauce for that pizza was from a jar. I've made my own sauce in the past, but under normal circumstances, I don't have the time to properly prepare the sauce. My main Pizza accomplishments are in the crustal areas. This particular pizza didn't have the time to rise that I normally give my crusts, so I made a thin crust..

Thin crusts are the tastiest in my opinion. And I agree...why make 'homemade' sauce when you have a pizza stone?

And yes, marklio, they should be off...in flight. I'm pretty sure those were made before takeoff. As a side note, Donald Rumsfeld recently banned camera phones in Iraq.

When Jamie and I went to a special screening of a surf movie called Riding Giants at the Sony lot, they took away our picture phones. Obviously, we could have done some major damage.

I could see a "special screening" or "sneak preview" not wanting to leak pictures out, but you can't even tell what is going on in my picture, unless you saw the movie and stayed through half of the credits, which is when the picture was taken. To put it in perspective, it's 1 frame out of approximately 7776000 (conservatively assuming a roughly hour and a half movie), which means it would represent far less than one millionth of a percent of the visual information in the movie if the shot was at the full resolution of the original frame. As it is, the picture is less than .1% of the original size (assuming 2k frame sizes, which is very conservative), and beyond that it's blurry as heck, reducing practical resolution further. The resulting number is much too small to constitute even a far-fetched case for copyright infringment. Pictures taken at random probably contain as much statistically-similar data in them as this one. :)

Mark says:
"Dave made his patented homemade pizza..."

hrrrmmmmm....Looks very similar to my husband's pizza....I wonder why??? I wonder where Dave got that pizza stone? It also looks _very_ similar to my husband's......

Instead, I would say "Dave made his Barnes' Family patented homemade pizza...."

We had ours on Thursday night.

Thanks for that correction Shelley :)

Actually, David made "The Little Guides PIZZAS" published by Fog City Press's pizza on a Pampered Chef's Pizza Stone

I could be mistaken about that pizza stone... I looked after I typed it... and it didn't say pampered chef so maybe it's not a papmered chef's pizza stone. I know PChef labels their stuff like crazy with their brand name.

The pizza stone was a gift from Peter and Shelley (Christmas I think), I no longer use the Pampered Chef one.

ahh... hence the "I wonder where Dave got that pizza stone?" from Shelley. Thanks for clearing the Pampered Chef one up... that's all I remember you having... silly me... responding to my own husband in a comments on marklo.com!
