I thought this would be an interesting venue for logging my video ideas and getting feedback on them from some of the people whose feedback I need the most...insensitive jerks. Just kidding. Here's one I thought of this morning. Kind of an excuse for a very action/stunt oriented short, so I can get sued by the parents of some of the youth who'd be my actors.

It's a spoof of the Matrix called "The Metrics" (or something like that). The world is not as it seems. Even though we use English system units, everything underneath is run on the metric system. Anyway, you get the idea. Agents, super-powers for some reason, etc. Maybe it's only funny to me. I'm prepared to accept that. I deal with alot of metric system vs. english system crap.

I've got some more of these. Expect to see more in the next few days.

since I'm on lunch break and your blog is on petes site, I figure why not be an insensitive jerk...actually I know I'm not Jeff...did I say that?...yes...yes, I did.....I deal with alot of crap concerning the metric and the other right way to measure things. I am in the oil business, therefore, even people in Singapore and the UK use the standard system. I think the metric system does not think outside the box and therefore should not be allowed. Actually you bring up a good point, the video should also include scenes from the satellite crash into Mars because some engineers used metric units and then they inputed english units, therefore causing it to crash. This may be too technical for the average reader/video watcher...on what level do you plan to direct this film? Within some sort of cosmic era where only metrics and standards fight one another and this fighting is constantly seen within the earth in ironic fashion? I would think Bat Commander would know what to do.

I like the idea...how would it translate into scenes/plot?

I'm imagining a trailer-like video, in Segues style, where you pretty much just get all the funny stuff/amazing stunts packed together without any real glue. I think the idea is probably too weak to make much more out of it. Not to mention the fact that I don't have loads of free time to come up with plot and write the script. Some of my other ideas have much more meat built in.

I have a feeling that Jeff can't wait to hear the ideas that have meat built in to them.

Gotcha. I'm a big fan of the trailer. Jeff's as big as a trailer.

How about a film where you load up all the jerks in a big trailer and then kill them?
That would be good.

Now why would you take offense to me calling you a trailer? How many fat guys are compared to a trailer, Jeff? I was referring to your muscular size my friend. Trailers are stacked. And has anyone noticed the similarity between "guy" and "gay"? I accidentally typed "gays." It's almost "guys". Get it?

[censored by moderator] jenkins - although I don't believe the trailer bit...trailers are usually full of [marshmallows]..no offense jeff...but jeff has actually bulked up a bit (i saw him [romping in the nude] while in SD)...Actually when I went, I smuggled in a 6-pack of [Red Lobster Crab Legs]...maybe that should be a movie? 2 guys, a girl, and a hefeweizen???...sounds too much like a [stupid idea]? Maybe "and a hefeweizen" and about how jeff drinks like [1]
